For the whole vacation you'll have at your disposal a
car with driver guide-tour manager
Day 1st - Rome; morning,
pick up from the Airport and check into the hotel; lunch
in a typical restaurant, then we'll start to discover
the Eternal City, by a 4-hour car and walking tour with
a local guide including St. Peter's, Sistine Chapel,
Spanish Steps and Pantheon. Car and driver/guide at your
disposal for sightseeing, shopping and dinner.
Day 2nd - Rome; morning, 3-hour car and
walking tour with a local guide to the Colosseum and
Roman Forum; we'll then drive to the sea coast for lunch
in a typical fish restaurant and a walk within the ruins
of the port-city of Ostia, that reveal more than any
other monument in the capitol, what everyday life must
have been like in ancient times. Car and driver/guide at
your disposal for sightseeing, shopping and dinner.
Driving times: from Rome to Ostia 30 minutes, back
to Rome 30 minutes.
Day 3rd - full day tour on the route between Rome and
Florence; we'll first stop in Orvieto, a
picturesque hill town in Umbria that has preserved its
medieval appearance with its beautiful Romanesque and
Gothic buildings, also famous for its wine, pottery and
artisan shops; we'll then drive to Siena, the second
most interesting town in Tuscany after Florence, lunch
in a typical restaurant; we'll then drive through the
Chianti district, Tuscany's most famous wine-making
zone, wine tasting on the way, to reach Florence. Car
and driver/guide at your disposal for sightseeing,
shopping and dinner.
Driving times: from Rome to Orvieto 1 hour and 15
minutes, to Siena 1 hour and 30 minutes, to Florence 1
hour and 30 minutes.
Day 4th - Florence; morning, 4-hour car and
walking tour with a local guide including the Cathedral,
Piazza Signoria, Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio;
lunch in a typical restaurant; car and driver/guide at
your disposal for sightseeing and shopping; we'll then
drive to Pisa for dinner and a walk in Piazza Duomo to
see the Leaning Tower.
Driving times: from Florence to Pisa 1 hour, back to
Florence 1 hour.
Day 5th - full day tour on the route between Florence
and Verona; we'll first stop in Modena, to
visit the Duomo, a Romanesque masterpiece by Lanfranco
and Wiligelmo; lunch in a typical restaurant; we'll then
drive to Mantua to visit Palazzo Te, a spectacular 16th
century suburban villa; after a short driving we'll be
in Verona, where the timeless past meets the city
everyday life, as well: the Veronese still attend the
ancient Roman Arena; they pray in the Romanesque church
of St.Zeno before Andrea Mantegna's altar piece; they
stroll over the red Scaliger bridge, and they shop in
the ancient Piazza delle Erbe. Car and driver/guide at
your disposal for sightseeing, shopping and dinner.
Driving times: from Florence to Modena 1h and 45
minutes, to Mantua 1 hour, to Verona 45 minutes.
Day 6th - full day tour on the route between Verona and
Venice; morning 3-h car and walking tour with a
local guide in Verona, including the Arena, and Juliet's
House; we'll then drive to Padua, among its art
treasuries are Giotto frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel,
Donatello work at the "Santo", and work by young Titian
at the Scuola del Santo, all masterpieces of Italian art
history; lunch in a typical restaurant after a short
driving we'll be in Venice. Driver/guide at your
disposal for sightseeing, shopping and dinner.
Driving times: from Verona to Padua 1 hour and 15
minutes, to Venice 40 minutes.
Day 7th - Venice;
morning, 4-hour walking tour with a local guide
including the St. Mark's Basilica, Doge Palace and
Rialto Bridge; lunch in a typical restaurant, we'll then
reach the Murano Island to visit a glass factory and to
learn about the art of blowing glass. Dinner Party in a
typical restaurant.
The above tour is for individuals as
well as for small groups, and it can be modified on the
base of client's interests.
